Our Mission

Shining a light on the widespread deployment of Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) across the San Antonio metroplex.

Inspired by the open-source blueprint of deflock.org, this platform raises localized public awareness regarding massive, automated vehicle tracking infrastructure, its threat to civilian privacy, and its placement within our neighborhoods.

What is an ALPR?

Automated License Plate Readers are high-speed, AI-powered camera networks deployed by private vendors, residential HOAs, and law enforcement agencies. These systems continuously snapshot passing traffic, extracting actionable intelligence including:

• Exact date, time, and precise geographic coordinates.
• License plate sequences and originating jurisdictions.
• Distinct vehicle attributes (make, model, paint color, rooftop racks, bumper decals).

Get Involved Locally

Every camera pinpointed on the global map relies entirely on community mapping efforts using OpenStreetMap framework tools.
